Moving forward: Health and education support

Haiti Scholars is a non-profit organization that believes that education is the foundation for hope, self-esteem and empowerment for the children and communities that live in Haiti. 

Last year, the lack of clean water meant that many students and teachers within the Mariani, Haiti community were unable to participate in the learning process.  This health risks became even greater as the pandemic and impact of natural disasters started affecting the region.  

Nicole Waite, founder and CEO of the organization, issued a call for help.  Pregis and our philanthropic partner, Uzima Clean Water Filters answered the call.  In response, Pregis organized the shipment of 600 Uzima water filters to Haiti.  These water filters were provided to the local schools as well as student and teacher homes. 

A video message of thanks was prepared by Nicole Waite to share at a recent national sales event. 

Seeing the difference that the Uzima Clean Water Filters made for the families and community moved the Pregis audience to tears.  It was a #PregisProud moment that is too rewarding not to share with the extended Pregis community of customers and partners.  We encourage you to take a few moments to watch the video.
